WebTheres a comment here that says the fix is to make the pic you want to be a thumbnail the smallest picture in the album. That seems to have worked. It just takes a few minutes to reset once you reduce the picture size and re-upload. Also FB marketplace HOME SALES says they allow up to 50 pics. Not true.
