WebA fix that i stumbled on by chance is to open up your cash shop and browse it, you can do so by opening up your load out by pressing L then clicking on store alternatively you can press e on the numerous benches around the town, take a brief look inside change tabs then just exit it and give it a small amount of time then your quest will catch up.
